Signal box work continues at Chinnor, Feb 2009
Regular visitors to site will know that the operation of the old Chinnor ground frame was transferred to the new box at the end of the 2008 season. During the winter close, work has continued a-pace to prepare the next phase of the box’s development. This work was approved by the RSP (Railway Safety Panel) in 2008. We are very fortunate to have an S&T ICP (Independent Competent Person) within our organisation who has been involved in the project at every stage. It is hoped to commission the next phase of the box during early part of the 2009 season.
